Milestones

The website was deployed at the beginning of the 2006/7 year, at which point in time milestones such as 'Deploy and 'Feature-Complete' became meaningless. Having spoken with Tim, as of 20/01/07 we have moved to deadline based Milestones, rather than functional milestones. At any moment in time there should be milestones for the next three months and a 'future' milestone, with major feature improvements. Trac can then be used to help scheduling the project, rather than just aiding the general sense of failure.

On month rollover a new Milestone should be created three months into the future. Existing tickets for the current month should be moved into the next month, and future tickets should be rescheduled according to feasible implementation schedules. If people stick to this schedule things will work fine, otherwise we will end up back in chaos.
